   WHAT IS A CERTIFIED PROCESS SERVER

Service of process is the procedure by which a party to a lawsuit gives an appropriate notice of initial legal action to another party, court, or administrative body in an effort to exercise jurisdiction over that person so as to force that person to respond to the proceeding before the court, body, or other tribunal. A process server is an impartial individual who serves court papers to a party in a legal dispute. These papers might be a complaint, a subpoena, or a summons to appear in court.

At Nature Coast Legal Services, LLC we can handle all of your service of process needs locally, nationally and globally.  We have 3 Certified Process Servers on staff and a tremendous network of process servers and we will gladly handle the process for you from start to finish.  In most cases we can e-file your return of service directly into the court file as well and this is a courtesy to all of our clients.  If you need to publish to obtain constructive service, we will provide the necessary  proof of service.  If you should need help with publishing of your action we will gladly assist you with that process with our non-lawyer specialist.

ABOUT US

Nature Coast Legal Services is an affordable non-lawyer alternative serving greater Mid-Central Florida. My name is Susan L. Dunham, I am the owner and operator of NCLS.  I am a retired litigation paralegal in Mid-Central Florida of 25 years, working exclusively in law fiems for 25 years specializing in marital and family law forms, real estate forms, and estate planning forms.  I began NCLS in August 2016 with aspirations of assisting Florida residents with various Court processes allowing citizens to represent themselves in a variety of actions.  Since then, I have assisted hundreds of families throughout Florida receive the legal remedies they had long been needing by providing excellence in self-help forms preparation at affordable prices.  

 

At Nature Coast Legal Services we pride ourselves on ethical, honest and professional assistance to our community members when they are in need of court forms or assistance with self-help forms and services.  

NCLS is NOT a law firm NOR do we staff any attorneys.  We are NOT able to provide you legal advice.  We do not provide legal representation of any kind and we do NOT staff attorneys. 

What we can do is help you navigate your local Clerk's office and the court process.  We can assist you in the completion of the document packages for the initiation of your action and we stay available to you until the end when you've obtained final judgment.  We offer e-filing of your case through Florida's E-Filing Portal as a courtesy to all of our litigation clients. We can assist you with the service of process of your case with a large network of process servers throughout all 50 states.  We have the information for your County's requirements for Florida's Parent Stabilization Course for court actions involving minor children.  We can aide you with your mediation by directing you to your County's Court Mediation Services.  Additionally, NCLS is proud to be your premiere Certified Process Servers for Florida's 5th Judicial Circuit.  We will work with you to effectuate service of process nationwide and globally making sure to meet your court deadlines for service of process,  If we cannot effectuate service and you need to publish, we will gladly assist you in that process s well.

 

There are instances where NCLS is unable to help.  At NCLS, I take it very seriously when I am not the best option for one of our community members in what is often a critical time of need. We are proud that we can often assist our clients with the necessary referrals for representation by local counsel.

What Is A Notary?

A notary public is a public official appointed by a state government to help deter fraud. Notary publics witness the signing of important documents and verify the identity of the signer(s), their willingness to sign the documents, and their awareness of the contents of the document or transaction.

What Do Notaries Do?

A Notary Public is a state public officer appointed and commissioned by the Governor whose function is to: administer oaths, take acknowledgments of deeds and other instruments, attest to or certify photocopies of certain documents, and perform other duties specified by law.

At NCLS we can help you complete any self-help packets available through your local Clerk of Court and much more!  We complete all documents for your case initiation through your final judgment.  Our goal is to provide you with the best possible arrangements for your specific needs.  If we are not able to assist you - we know who can! 

Affidavits

An affidavit is a type of verified statement or showing, or in other words, it contains a verification, which means that it is made under oath on penalty of perjury, and this serves as evidence for its veracity and is required in court proceedings.


Dissolution of Marriage

Self-help document packages for parties wishing to represent themselves in the filing of an action seeking divorce with/without real property and/or minor children from case initiation to final judgment. 


Simple Estate Planning - No Probate or Trusts

NCLS offers a 3 document will package which includes your Living Will, Designation of Healthcare Surrogate and Last Will & Testament

We do not assist with the creation of any Trusts.  Probate actions do not currently have self-help documents packages available and therefore still require lawyering.  NCLS is not able to assist you with a Probate matter.  If you are in need of a Trust or Probate assistance, please call the office and we will gladly provide you a free referral in your area! 


Adoptions

Self-help document packages for parties wishing to represent themselves in the filing of a Joint Petition for a Step-Parent Adoption, Grand-Parent Adoption and the adoption of an Adult. 


Power Of Attorneys

A power of attorney or letter of attorney is a written authorization to represent or act on another's behalf in private affairs, business, or some other legal matter. The person authorizing the other to act is the principal, grantor, or donor.


NCLS offers both a General Durable Power of Attorney and Healthcare Power of Attorney.

Mobile Notary Services

NCLS is proud to offer mobile notary services for those homebound or unable to visit our offices. Please call the office to set up a mobile notarization visit.

Remote Online Notary Services: Florida allows Notary Publics to obtain special course instruction for remote online notarizing. Please verify that any notary performing RON services is properly commissioned to do so or your document could be invalidated.

Marriages

  • Marriages are performed by NCLS at our offices or your location!  We do a beautiful ceremony with our vows, or, we will gladly perform your wedding with your own vows! You must obtain your marriage license on your own prior to your ceremony.  Two witnesses will be required in addition to our wedding officiant. NCLS will facilitate the entry of your license as well as provide you a printed copy of your wedding vows featuring your wedding date!
